Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for the NDIS?

You’ll need to complete an access request with the NDIS. This includes providing medical evidence, reports, and details about how your disability impacts your daily life. We can guide you through the whole process and connect you with the right professionals to prepare your reports.

Can someone help me understand my NDIS plan?

Yes. NDIS plans can be confusing, especially with all the different categories. As providers, we break down your plan step by step, so you understand what funding is available and how to make the most of it.

What is Support Coordination and do I need it?

Support Coordination helps you navigate the NDIS and organise your supports. If you have Support Coordination in your plan, we can help you connect with the right services, manage budgets, and prepare for reviews.

Can I change my NDIS provider if I’m not happy?

Yes. You have the right to choose who delivers your supports. If you’re unhappy with a provider, we can guide you through the process of switching smoothly without disrupting your care.

How do I know if my provider is using my funding correctly?

You should receive regular service agreements, invoices, and clear records of services delivered. We always provide full transparency so you can see exactly how your funding is being used.

What are my rights if I feel mistreated by a provider?

You have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. If you ever feel unsafe or mistreated, you can raise a complaint with the NDIS Commission, and we can support you in taking the right steps.

Can I use my NDIS funds for community activities or social outings?

Yes, if it’s listed under your Core Supports. This could include attending social events, joining a group, or accessing the community. We help you use your plan in ways that support your goals and independence.

How do I get help with daily living tasks like cleaning, cooking, or transport?

Daily living supports fall under Core funding. We can match you with support workers who assist with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and getting to appointments.

What should I do if my plan doesn’t cover enough hours?

You can request a plan reassessment if your needs have changed. We help gather reports and evidence to show why you need more support.

Can I get therapy services (OT, physio, speech) through my plan?

Yes, under Capacity Building supports. We work closely with allied health professionals to ensure you have the right therapies in place.

What happens if my funding runs out early?

If funding is being used faster than expected, we can review your plan, adjust services, and if needed, apply for a reassessment.

How do I prepare for my next NDIS plan review?

Start collecting reports from your therapists and support workers that show how your disability impacts your daily life. We help prepare you so you feel confident going into your review.

Can I use my plan flexibly between Core and Capacity Building?

In some cases, yes. Depending on how your plan is set up, you may be able to move funds across categories. We check your plan and advise what’s possible.

What supports are available for my carer or family?

There are respite options, training, and support for carers built into the NDIS. We can help your family access these so they feel supported too.

Why do other participants have more funding than me?

Funding depends on each person’s individual needs and the evidence provided. If you feel your plan doesn’t reflect your needs, we can support you in requesting a review.

What’s the difference between registered and unregistered providers?

Registered providers meet strict NDIS Commission standards. Unregistered providers can still deliver quality services but may have fewer compliance requirements. We’re fully registered, so you can trust that your care is safe and regulated.
